Real Madrid Trash Juventus 4-1 To Emerge European Champions

History was made Saturday night as Real Madrid beat Juventus 4 goals to 1 to emerge European Champions for the second time consecutively.

Real Madrid are the first team to win the title back to back.

The match which was played at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, saw Zinedene Zidane’s men win 12 of their previous 14 European Cup/UCL finals, more than any other team in history and a third in four seasons.

Juventus started off with much energy but conceded a goal which was scored by Cristiano Ronaldo the 20th minute.

The Spaniards could not maintain the lead for long as Mario Mandzukic equalised with an unreal overhead kick in the 27th minute.

Casemiro fired Real into second half lead in the 61st minute. Within two minutes Ronaldo scored the third goal for the Spaniards in the 63rd minute to extend their lead.

Marco Asensio coolly tapped the ball into the corner of the goal for Real’s 4th goal in the 90th minute following a cross from Marcelo.

Cristiano Ronaldo becomes the first person to score a brace in a UEFA Champions League Final after  Diego Milito scored for Inter V Bayern in 2010.

His goals tonight made it is 600th goal for club and country.
